I am very excited to be teaching Anatomy this semester. We will be learning about the different body systems and working through case studies to put our new found knowledge to the test. I cannot wait to begin our first case study after we learn about the skeletal system. We will be using case studies from the National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science. Here is an excerpt from our first study titled "Dem Bones: Forensic Resurrection of a Skeleton".
"The next task was to collect and label each bone. Afterward the grounds would be sifted for additional clues. It would be up to Tom, the forensic anthropologist, to determine the age and sex of the individual and to look for signs of trauma. What secrets would these bones reveal?"
I cant' wait to get started!
